PURPOSE: A method of performing a real-time call by using a recorded message is provided to selectively transmit portions of pre-recorded messages by inputting a key, to reply to the other party, so as to enable a real-time call with the other party when a called party cannot talk over the phone at a certain situation. CONSTITUTION: If a key is inputted(200), a conference mode conversion is performed(210). If a call is made from a caller(220), a mobile phone terminal system automatically transmits a pre-recorded initial message to the caller(230). If the caller listens to the initial message and tells the purpose of the call, the receiver listens to the message(240). A mobile phone terminal screen display retrieves characters that display recorded contents for an appropriate reply, or retrieves the characters by listening to many recorded messages through a terminal speaker(250). If an appropriate recorded message is found, the message is selected(260) to be transmitted to the caller(270).
