<p>A burned and bound stone for improving water quality which comprises 40 to 70 wt % of a zeolite, 20 to 40 wt % of a granite porphyry, 3 to 15 wt % of a quartz diorite, 5 to 10 wt % of a coral fossil and 3 to 15 wt % of a tourmaline and is prepared preferably by a method comprising mixing the above components in above-mentioned amounts, charging the resulting mixture into a drum and rotating the drum while spraying water to the mixture, to form hard spherical granules with the aid of centrifugal force, and then burning the granules by heating to remove moisture and prepare a burned and bound stone in a ceramic state. The burned and bound stone can provide a water having improved quality which can be used for preventing the putrefaction of, for a long time storage of, and for keeping the freshness of foods.</p> |
