PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat retaining cover for a meter unit set within the pipe shaft of an apartment or the like having excellent heat retaining property and easy to mount. SOLUTION: This heat retaining cover 31 is used for the meter unit comprising a meter 3, stop cock 5 and check valve 7 integrally mounted on a base 9. The cover body 31 is formed of a left half part 33 and a right half part 34, and comprises a meter housing space 45, a stop cock housing space 46 and a check valve housing space 55 formed in the inner part. The heat retaining cover further comprises a meter part lid 71 and a stop cock part lid 75.
