PURPOSE: A real time middle ware device and a method for servicing the device are provided to secure a real time performance, secure independent property with respect to a platform and a network protocol, and reconstruct a system and software elements by combining a naming service with an interface definition language compiler based on a remote procedure calling method on an embedded system. CONSTITUTION: A real time middle ware supplies an internal function unit(130) as a naming(131), a clustering(132), a multi-threading(133), a locking(136), a timeout(134), a licensing(137), a debug(138), an external data representation(139), and a replication(135). In addition, the real time middle ware supplies an interface unit as a remote procedure calls for requesting and supplying a service between a client and a functional server, a remote library calls(112), a remote thread process(113), a remote file access(114), a remote memory access(115), a remote program process(116), and an object process(117). In a software development, the client accesses to elements existed in the functional server and may receive a service using the interface(110) supplied from the real time middle ware. The above service may be supplied in a not only general computer(102) but an embedded system(101). As a method for transmitting a service request and returning the reply thereof, a UDP/IP and an IPC protocol may be used. The each service may be distributed on a plurality of systems, and the naming service(131) is supplied for supplying a service effectively on the distributed environment.
