PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of achieving connection with a plurality of external appliances by providing two or more connectors for connection with external appliances, achieving communication with a plurality of external appliances on occasion without the need of a manual switching operation, and controlling the appliances individually. SOLUTION: A control part 7 enables receipt of a command from the external appliance and/or a printing starting signal during communication with one of the first and second external appliances 5, 6 as well as rejects receipt of a command and printing starting signal from the other external appliance. Furthermore, at the time of switching the communication from one of the external appliances to the other, a period of rejecting a command and printing starting signal from both external appliances is provided for a predetermined time.
