PURPOSE: A gas/water separator is provided which optimizes variables related to the separation efficiency and the pressure drop of water that is contained in a gas. CONSTITUTION: In a gas/water separator in which a plurality of gas/water separation plates(21-24) are fixed in a separation tank(10) in the state that the gas/water separation plates(21-24) are downwardly inclined, the separation tank(10) is connected to a gas inlet part(11), a gas exhaust part(12) and a water storage part(13), the gas/water separator is characterized in that a ratio of a projected area of each of the gas/water separation plates(21-24) to a cross-sectional area of the separation tank(10) is 80 to 90%, and an installation angle of each of the gas/water separation plates(21-24) is 10 to 30 degrees of an angle, wherein a gas/water separation efficiency in the gas/water separator is influenced by an inclined angle of each of the gas/water separation plates(21-24) as well as a ratio of a projected area of each of the gas/water separation plates(21-24) to a cross-sectional area of the separation tank(10), and an optimum gas/water separation efficiency is obtained when a ratio of a projected area of each of the gas/water separation plates(21-24) to a cross-sectional area of the separation tank(10) is in the range of 80 to 90%, and an installation angle of each of the gas/water separation plates(21-24) is in the range of 10 to 30 degrees of an angle.
