PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fireproof screen device to be slowly and smoothly operated for closing while restricting the closing speed of a door part. SOLUTION: A speed adjusting mechanism 20 is interposed between a weight 8c for door part provided in a lower edge of a triangle door part 16 formed by a slit 10 provided at a central part of a fireproof screen curtain 2 and a weight 8d for screen fitted to a lower end of the fireproof screen curtain 4 except for the door part 16. When closing the door part 16, this speed adjusting mechanism 20 restricts the closing speed of the door part 16 so as to delay the door closing operation, and the door part 16 is thereby closed slowly. With such a structure, a hit of the weight bar 8c on a leg of a displacing person due to the oscillation of the weight bar 8c can be avoided.
