APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CANCELING MULTIPLE ACCESS INTERFERENCE IN CDMA-BASED WLL SYSTEM

PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for canceling an MAI(Multiple Access Interference) in a CDMA-based WLL(Wireless Local Loop) system is provided to sequentially remove interference users' data signals having big signal power among many users' data signals transmitted through a wireless channel. CONSTITUTION: A signal(r(t)) received from a base station is split and outputted into an in-phase component signal and a quadrature-phase component signal at different branches. The split and outputted signals are despread and integrated through K numbers of matched filters(11-1k). Then the despread and integrated signals are detected by a power ranking device(2) in the order of the magnitude of signal power. User signals of big signal power, detected by the power ranking device(2) in the order of their power level, are regenerated and offset by signals inputted to the matched filters(11-1k).
