AIR-HYDROGEN CELL

An air-hydrogen celle which has a positive electrode comprising an air electrode, a negative electrode comprising a hydrogen occlusion alloy and, arranged between the above positive and negative electrodes as an electrolyte, a cation exchange resin or an anion exchange resin, characterized in that an anion exchange resin covers the surroundings of the negative electrode. The air-hydrogen cell has an increased area for the contact of an anion exchange resin having the function as an electrolyte with the hydrogen occlusion alloy, leading to the improvement in the coefficient of utilization of the hydrogen occlusion alloy and in the corrosion resistance of the alloy. As a result, the air-hydrogen cell exhibits a high energy density and good cycle characteristics.
