The invention relates to a vehicle component (1) having a sealing function, and a method for the production thereof. Said component (1) is produced by means of an injection moulding method based on at least two constituents (2,6). At least one of the constituents is elastic or soft, and is embodied in a hollow manner by injecting a gaseous or liquid medium or by displacing the molten mass by means of a projectile-shaped displacement element. The functional hollow cavity (9) obtained thereby is used to capture deformation paths. Said elastic component (6) consists of a thermoplastic elastomer. |
