PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic type acoustic transducer which generates less distorted sounds. SOLUTION: This electromagnetic type acoustic transducer comprises a blind cylinder-like yoke (blind cylindrical body) 13, which is formed with one end face as an open surface 12; a diaphragm 19 which is disposed at the yoke 13 so as to cover the open surface 12; a pole 23 which is disposed approximately at the central part of the inside base surface of the yoke 13, is formed with a space between its front end face 21 and the diaphragm 19 and consists of a magnetic material; a coil 25 which is wound about the peripheral surface of the pole 23, a magnet 27 which is disposed at the diaphragm 19, so as to face the front end face 21 of the pole 23 and is magnetized in the axial direction of the yoke 13; and an elastic body 31 which is disposed between the front end face 21 of the pole 23 and the magnet 27.
