ferric metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention consists in adding to blast furnace charge, as skull-forming additive, material containing titanium in the form of oxides and carbonitrides at ratio (2-2.5):1, and also oxides of calcium, magnesium, aluminum, and silicon following ratios: [CaO] /[(SiO2)] = 0.9-1.3, [MgO]/[Al2O3]=0.7-0.9, [CaO+MgO]/[Al2O3+SiO2] = 0.95-1.05. , Slag-origin broken stone, namely blast furnace slag processing product, is used as above-defined material, slag being obtained when melting titanium-magnetite iron-ore materials. Skull-forming additive is loaded into narrow peripheral ring limited by radii equal to 1.0-0.8 furnace throat radius. Total amount of additive representing 3 to 10% of the weight of iron ore portion of charge is loaded into surface during 3 to 8 days and this operation is repeated 1.5-3.0 months later. EFFECT: prolonged furnace run. 4 cl
