PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embroidery frame transferring device which can smoothly and surely switch a lock member between a pressing location wherein the connecting section of an embroidery frame is pressed, and a releasing location wherein the pressing is released in order to attach/detach the embroidery frame to/from a carriage. SOLUTION: A lock mechanism 40 of this embroidery frame transferring device has the lock member 41, a compression coil spring 42, and first and second guide shafts 45 and 46. In this case, the lock member 41 can switch the connecting section 21 of the embroidery frame 11 between a pressing location and a releasing location. The compression coil spring 42 urges the lock member 41 to the pressing location. The first and second guide shafts 45 and 46 are provided on the carriage 12, respectively passed through guide holes 47 and 48 of the lock member 41, and movably guide the lock member 41 between the pressing location and the releasing location. The first guide shaft 45 and its guide hole 47 allow a slight movement of the lock member 41 in the sliding direction of the connecting section 21. The second guide shaft 46 and its guide hole 48 prohibit the slight movement of the lock member 41 in the sliding direction, and also, allow the lock member 41 to tilt in the plane including the shaft centers of the first and second guide shafts 45 and 46.
