PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven power steering controller which never has data rewritten owing to electric noise by writing the data to a storage device (storage means) not in a state wherein the electric noise is easily generated on a circuit, but in a state wherein no electric noise is mixed. SOLUTION: The motor-driven power steering controller 70 is equipped with a CPU 75 which controls an electric motor M. The CPU 75 detects the operating state of a peripheral part and/or the operating state of the CPU 75 needed to control the electric motor M or whether there is abnormality causing the trouble of control. A decision circuit 80 decides whether writing trouble easily occurs to the storage device 77 and the CPU 75 stores the contents detected by the CPU 75 into the storage device 77 when the decision circuit 80 decides that the writing trouble does not occur easily.
