The attic (1), for a building, is composed of a number of prepared boards (5) in a row for the attic ceiling (4). The boards are supported by a lateral carrier (8). A jamb unit (10) forms a jamb together with an outer support (11). The outer support is an angle- or T-iron to take the interior angled zone (19) of the jamb unit, with its laid edge (13,20). The lateral carrier is a double-T-iron, and the outer support is welded to the upper flange surface (15) of the carrier.
