PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thin circularly polarizing plate having high surface hardness and improved antistatic property and overcoming a problem of sticking of dust. SOLUTION: In a circularly polarizing plate composed of a transparent substrate film, a polarizing element and a quarter-wave plate laminated in this order, a hard coat polyester film having a resin layer which is polymerizable with an active energy beam arranged on at least one surface of it and of which the surface elastic modulus is >=5 GPa and <=15 GPa is used as the transparent substrate film. Furthermore, a sheet of a polymer film having 100-125 nm retardation value measured at 450 nm wavelength (Re450) and 120-160 nm retardation value measured at 590 nm wavelength (Re590) and satisfying an inequality Re590-Re450>=2 nm is used as the quarter-wave plate. |
