PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an apparatus for setting the taper for a simple manual type machine for producing a fishing rod. SOLUTION: This apparatus for setting the taper of the manual type machine for producing the fishing rod is obtained by setting a blade of a plane 4 for placing one piece of a material for the fishing rod to be produced on the apparatus for setting the taper of the manual type machine for producing the fishing rod into the taper and shaving the one piece of the material for an exchange type without adopting a mechanism for vertically moving the body of the blade when setting the taper of a beveler, initially curving a guide rail 1 in the direction opposite to the beveler with a guide rail lifting and lowering adjusting mechanism 2 arranged in a horizontal base part under the guide rail 1, exchanging the plane 4 with a horizontal blade 4b, adjusting the exposure of the blade 4b, shaving the upper part of the guide rail 1 parallel, thereby reducing the dimensions lifted by the guide rail adjusting mechanism 2, then lowering all the guide rail lifting and lowering adjusting mechanism 2 to the horizontal base horizontal part, returning the curving of the guide rail 1, finally exchanging the plane 4 with a V-shaped blade 4a, shaving the left and right of the guide rail 1 and setting the dimensions of the one material piece for the fishing rod to be produced with the width and angle in the upper part of the guide rail 1.
