PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake device for an engine capable of holding a space between an intake port and a connecting tube in a good airtight state with a small number of parts. SOLUTION: In this intake device for an engine, a carburettor 6 is connected to the intake port 3 of a cylinder head 1 through a connection tube 5 formed of an elastic material. An intake port tube 1a having an end part allowing the upstream side end of the intake port 3 to be opened thereto is installed projectedly on the cylinder head 1, and a bottomed cylindrical increased diameter hole 8 formed in the downstream side end part inner peripheral surface of the connecting tube 5 is fitted to the end part outer periphery of the intake port tube 1a to continue the inner peripheral surface of the intake part 3 and the inner peripheral surface of the connecting tube 5. A plurality of caulked grooves 10 are formed in a tightening ring 9 fitted to the downstream side end part outer peripheral surface of the connecting tube 5 by caulking through all the periphery of the tightening ring.
