<p>An apparatus (90) for trapping and removing a contaminant from particulate material, such as for example, toner or developer, includes a first member (134) having a plurality of apertures (136) in the first member and at least a second member (140) having a plurality of apertures in the second member. The second member is in juxtaposition with the first member. A space (138) between the first member and the second member is smaller than a maximum length of the contaminant, and the apertures of first and second members are not in alignment.
