PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating device capable of easily and simply applying a coating liquid on a web and easily controlling the film thickness of the coating liquid. SOLUTION: The coating device is provided with a dip vessel 11 in which the web W enters and a 1st coating liquid 21 is housed, and a die head 16 provided at leased on one surface side of the web W coming out from the dip vessel 11 and for applying a 2nd coating liquid on the web W. A scraping roll 17 is provided through a supporting leg 17a at the upstream side of the die head 16. The 1st coating liquid on one side surface of the web W is scraped by the scraping roll 17 to be controlled to have a prescribed thickness. The 2nd coating liquid 22 is applied on the 1st coating liquid 21 to have a prescribed thickness by the die head 16.
