PURPOSE: A protector for an electronic fluorescent lamp ballast is provided to protect the fluorescent lamp ballast from spark current applied through an AC power supply by respectively forming spark gaps between input power nodes of the electronic fluorescent lamp ballast and ground. CONSTITUTION: First to third spark gaps(71,72,73) corresponding to respective phases(R,S,T) of an AC power supply are mounted on respective inputs(N1,N2,N3) of the AC power supply. The second and third spark gaps(72,73) are respectively mounted on the ground input(N3) and both inputs(N2,N1) of a fluorescent lamp ballast(80) including a noise filter grounded through a bypass condenser. The ballast(80) is connected to the respective inputs(N1,N2,N3). And, a fluorescent lamp(81) is connected to an output of the ballast(80).
