PURPOSE: A telephone set with a charging function of a portable phone is provided to charge a driving power supply of a portable phone by using a wired telephone, i. e., a general telephone and to receive a phone call made to the portable phone by the general telephone to thus enable a phone call with the other party. CONSTITUTION: A DC adaptor(8) converting an AC power input of 110V or 220V into a DC voltage is provided in a telephone body. A power connection terminal of a charger(9) connected to the DC adaptor(8) is exposed to the outside of a mounting groove of the telephone body. A connecting means is connected to a connection jack. An interface(6) is connected to the connection jack formed in the mounting groove of the telephone body and provides various data for a phone call by a portable phone to a CPU(3). The CPU(3) opens a speech path and controls a phone call of the portable phone using a general telephone by receiving an input of various data for a phone call from the portable phone as well as ordinary telephone functions.
