PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet imaging device capable of maintaining the distance between a recording medium and a printing head even in the case various recording media with different thicknesses are used. SOLUTION: A motor 84 is rotated based on the thickness detected by a thickness detecting sensor 90 for rotating a screw shaft 82 so as to always maintain the distance between a recording paper 20' and a printing head 46. In the case the recording paper 20' is thin, a supporting member 70 is lowered together with a fixing member 88. In contrast, in the case the recording paper 20' is thick, the supporting member 70 is raised together with the fixing member 88.
