摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new compound useful as a medicine, especially as a histon-deacetylating enzyme(HDAC) inhibitor. SOLUTION: This dithiol derivative or its pharmaceutically permissible salts has the HDAC-inhibiting activity and also a cytotoxcic activity in human cancer cells, and therefore it is useful as a treating agent for diseases or illnesses associated with the acetylation of histon, especially as an antitumor agent.
