PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily attach/detach a spark plug while maintaining high sound insulating performance of an exhaust muffler. SOLUTION: A recessed portion 30b is formed in a lower wall of the exhaust muffler 24 arranged at the upper side of a cylinder head 4 of the slanted engine to form an attaching/detaching operation space 38 for the spark plug 27. A rocking arm 12 of a centrifugal governor 10 and a throttle arm 15 of a carburetor 7 are interconnected via a connecting member 14. The connecting member 14 is arranged crossing the spark plug 27 near the lower side of a terminal portion 27a of the spark plug 27. The connecting member 14 is used as a mounting guide in mounting a plug attachment/detachment wrench 40 on the spark plug 27.
