SOLUTION: The video conference terminal is a component of a video conference system, multiplexes voice, an image and data coded by a voice encoder 221, an image encoder 421, and a data encoder, demultiplexes the multiplexed voice, image and data, uses a voice decoder 222, an image decoder 422 and a data decoder to decode the demultiplexed data, and conducts transmission reception with an opposite terminal, and has a central processing unit 800 that controls the entire section and conducts arithmetic processing, a central processing unit capability measurement section 700 that measures the processing capability of the central processing unit 800 and a voice coding optimization management section 201 that controls a voice coding rate in the voice encoder on the basis of the measured processing capability. |
