PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a private branch telephone exchange device that can conduct dial processing with a specific number without using an actual connection destination number in the case that an extension terminal user makes data communication connection by dialup through the private branch of exchange. SOLUTION: The private branch of exchange compatible with data communication is provided with an extension interface section 11 that conducts processing relating to connection with a wireless extension and a wired extension, a call control section 12 that conducts connection exchange processing between extensions and external lines, a line wire interface section 13 that conducts connection relating processing with an external public network, a data processing section 14 that conducts protocol processing of data communication, and a setting storage section 15 that stores setting information of the exchange. The call control section 12 reads a destination number of the line wire connection from the setting storage section 15 upon the receipt of a data communication dialing specific number from an extension terminal to conduct dialing processing so that the extension terminal can start data communication with a data dial specific number.
