FLUORESCENT LAMP AND DISCHARGE LAMP LIGHTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent lamp and a lighting device of discharge lamp which make it possible to prevent thermal degradation of a base by burnout of filament electrode at low cost. SOLUTION: A filament electrode 3 is kept with a pair of lead wires 4, 4, and the pair of lead wires 4, 4 are supported with a soft glass base board 5 which is integrated with an emission tube 1. A connection part 4a which is a part of each lead wire and contacts with an inner wall of the emission tube 1 is provided with each lead wire 4. The connection part 4a which is set at the lead wire 4 constitutes a heat radiation means to control a temperature rise after the burnout of the filament electrode 3 of the two lead wires 4, 4 supporting the burnt out filament electrode 3.
