PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact pipe joint allowing a large expansion margin and having high durability. SOLUTION: This pipe joint 10 comprises a first socket member 21 provided for a first pipe 11, a second socket member 22 provided for a second pipe 12, and a short pipe 23 having, at its both ends, a first spigot 31 to be closely inserted into a socket 21A of the first socket member 21 and a second spigot 32 to be closely inserted into a socket 22A of the second socket member 22. A bore and an insertion margin of the socket 22A of the second socket member 22 are set larger than those of the socket 21A of the first socket member 21, and at least one of the first socket member 21 and the socket member 22 is provided with a coming-off preventing part 21B for a corresponding spigot of the short pipe 23.
