Ceramic multilayered component comprises a stack of PTC ceramic layers (4) with tungsten electrodes (5) on both sides connected to a monolithic body (8). The electrode layers are alternately contacted with collecting electrodes (6, 6') laterally joined to the component. An Independent claim is also included for a process for producing the ceramic multilayered component comprising forming ceramic green foils made from PTC ceramic; applying a sinterable tungsten-containing electrode paste to regions of the foils for the electrodes; alternately stacking green foils to a foil stack; pressing the stack; and sintering to form a monolithic body.
