The collar (5) of the saddle (4) is glued or welded to the surround of the opening (2) in the wall of a main drain (1). Bayonet or screw fittings on the flange (9) mate with the coupling (12). Locking cams prevent the union from loosening. All principle components are of plastic e.g. PVC.
