The conveyor system, for the transport of wound cops and empty sleeves supported on carrier plates (29), has a static limit (30) to guide the continuous quadrilateral plate drive belt (15). At the belt deflection points, the belt rides around a drive/deflection disk (31), with a positive fit within a guide groove (33) around the disk circumference. The continuous belt of the cop/sleeve transport system can ride within a U-shaped groove around the drive/deflection disk, for deflection around the disk on the X- or Y-axis. The quadrilateral drive belt is held in place by side surfaces, parallel to the Y-axis and parallel to the guide shoulders of the drive/deflection disk, with a friction lock against the base of the guide groove. The drive belt has a structured surface to give a friction grip to the cop/sleeve carrier plates. When the belt plate drive surface is worn, the belt is rotated to present one of its surfaces as a new surface to give a friction grip on the cop/sleeve plates. The quadrilateral transport belt can ride within a V-shaped groove around the drive/deflection disk in relation to the W- or Z-axis, and the belt applies a friction grip to the cop/sleeve carrier plates through one of its upright edges (34,34'). On wear, the belt is rotated to give a new upright edge to give a friction grip at the cop/sleeve carrier plates.
