PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and receiver for displaying an advertisement sequence in response to the taste of a user without blackening a screen in a digital television receiver. SOLUTION: In the receiving and display of short audio visual transmission information broadcasted to the digital television receiver by a transmitter, a large storage capacity is given to the receiver. The short audio visual transmission information is generally an advertisement spot. When it is received by the receiver, it is automatically replaced by the same kind of the transmission information recorded previously in the receiver. The receiver restarts the normal display of the transmission information at the time of the end of the broadcasting of a certain kind of the audio visual transmission information. The transmission information is recorded in accordance with the taste of the user. The taste of the user is defined in a set stage.
