PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing patterned hosiery by which the slipping down when wearing the hosiery is prevented and an uneven pattern is made to be conspicuous by the unevenness of the knit stitches and to propose the patterned hosiery produced by the same method. SOLUTION: This method for producing the hosiery is characterized by inserting an elastic stretchable yarn in the direction of a knitting bar of the stitches so that the elastic stretchable yarn is entangled with the stitches in a boundary line between protruding parts and recessed parts of the knit stitches in the hosiery of the uneven patterns formed by the uneven knit stitches knit by a double cylinder knitting machine.
