PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain MR image data of an aggregate (10) of abdominal slice images, using a fast spin echo pulse sequence. SOLUTION: A pulse sequence is specified (230), the number and positions of aggregated of images are specified (232), the aggregates of images are grouped into a plurality of slabs containing a plurality of adjoining images (236), subsequently, a patient is made to start breath holding (242), and by executing a pulse sequence specified with a magnetic resonance imaging system for each of images specified in the slabs so as to obtain an magnetic resonance image from the patient (224), the aggregated of images are acquired by acquiring repeatedly each of the slabs (12, 14). The aggregates of images are reconstructed, by using acquired magnetic resonance image data.
