PURPOSE: A graphic processor and graphic processing system is provided to improve the rendering performance of a graphic processor by effectively using a data bus, specially controlling the right to use the data bus by the bus control section according to the priorities of data transfer operations. CONSTITUTION: The processor(100) comprises a CPU interface(11), a memory interface(12), a data bus(13), a bus monitoring and controlling device(41), a graphics priority determination device(42), a graphics command storing section(22), a rendering data transfer device(21), a graphics command decoding device(25), a rendering device(26), a rendering control device(28). The CPU interface(11) as the first interface performs an interface control with a CPU(102) and receives a graphics command from the CPU(102). The memory interface(12) as the second interface performs an interface control with a work memory(104). The data bus 13 transfers data between the CPU interface(11) and the memory interface(12). The bus monitoring and controlling device(41) monitors the status of a data transfer operation along the data bus(13). The graphics priority determination device(42) manages the priorities of data transfer operations along the data bus(13). The graphics command storing section(22) temporarily stores a graphics command. The rendering data transfer device(21) controls the transfer of data from the data bus(13) to the graphics command storing section(22). The graphics command decoding device(25) decodes graphics commands stored in the graphics command storing section(22). The rendering control means(28) controls a graphic operation according to an output from the graphics command decoding device(25). The rendering device(26) processes the rendering data received via the graphics command decoding device(25) according to the rendering control device(28).
