PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet printer which prevents bubbling and leakage of an ink collected and returned to an ink tank. SOLUTION: In an ink-jet printer 1 comprising an ink tank 2 for storing an ink, a printing head 3 for jetting the ink supplied from the ink tank 2 to a printing surface, and an ink collecting means 4 for collecting the ink not to be used for printing from the ink jetted from the printing head 3 and returning the same to the ink tank 2, the ink collecting means 4 comprises a bubbling preventing means 4 for returning the collected ink to the ink tank 2 without bubbling. Moreover, the bubbling preventing means 4 comprises a fog jetting mechanism for jetting the collected ink like a fog into the ink tank 2. Furthermore, the fog jetting mechanism comprises a gas supplying device 10 for pressuring the collected ink by supplying a gas and/or a fog jetting opening 44 formed by narrowing the outlet opening 43 of the ink collecting means 4 to the ink tank 2. |
