SELECTABLE PRIORITY FOR DATA COMMUNICATION SWITCH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a selectable priority for data communication switch. SOLUTION: This data communication switch receives a packet having the first priority, creates the second priority responding to the first priority, prioritizes for a selected packet among plural packets responding to the second priority and transmits plural packets having the second priority. The first priority is a priority of inbound standard 802.1Q tag and the second priority is a priority of reproduction standard 802.1Q. A selection of priority is communicated by the switch by using of marking of packets. A mark is modified to an instance in the packets before adding the packets at priority of switch so as to remove the mark from the switch before transmitting the packet from the switch.
