A reaction drive has one of more rotating platforms (10), each carrying at least two gyros (11) to generate reaction forces to either stabilise the platform or to generate thrust. The system is powered by single motors (18) with direct drives to the rotating platforms. The gyros are drive via bevel gears to gear rings on the fixed platform.
