The brochure producing machine has two folding rolls (1, 2). The folding rolls have recesses (3) in the form of sectors of circle. The heads (4) of the brochures pass between them, but the rolls do not rotate. A folding bar (8) under the roll pair only pushes the brochure (6) between the rolls when the rolls have turned 90/=o on contact with the brochure.
