PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly stop a starter motor if kept rotated because of the impossible resetting of a key for starting an engine. SOLUTION: A system of controlling power supply for the starter motor 24 is formed on a processor 22 for controlling a liquid crystal display D. A program is set in the processor 22 for determining the operation or non- operation of an engine 7 in accordance with a display signal input from an alternator 28 to the processor 22 and for interrupting power supply for the starter motor 24 when the operated condition of the engine 7 is determined in the condition that the key switch 21 is put in a starting position.
