The valve has a housing (1) having cap elements (7a,7b) having through bores (18a,18b) which are arranged in a right angle to the axis of a valve hole (6) during the mounted state of cap elements. The through bores correspond with a second through bore (18) in the valve housing and with a bore in a tight fitting support element in order to fix cap elements to valve housing and to fix valve housing to support element. The valve housing has multiple ports (2a,2b,3a,3b,4a,4b) for pressure medium which are connected with an inner valve hole (5) in which a valve spool (6) is slidably set. The valve spool switches fluid flow between the ports. The cap elements seals the valve hole on one end side. A piston (11) moves the valve spool axially in a desired switching position which corresponds to a drive chamber (12) formed in the end section of the valve hole to control fluid that is supplied and ejected.
