PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the precision and work efficiency of the multi-face chamfering of a spherical work. SOLUTION: In this automatic grinding device for a conveyed spherical body, a main spindle center and a tailstock center pinching a spherical work with tip conical holes are reciprocated in the axial direction and synchronously index-rotated around the axis. Receiving grooves are formed so that a grinding wheel G facing the work pinched by the main spindle center and the tailstock center and the works stored on the outer periphery of a rotary drum at intervals in the peripheral direction can be moved in the axial direction, and the works are protruded from the openings of the outer periphery and cannot be dropped. The rotary drum is index-rotated so that the receiving grooves are located at a carrying-in position 60 of an unmachined work, a machining position 36, and a carrying-out position 74 of a machined work. Passing grooves through which the work can pass at the carrying-in position, machining position, and carrying-out position are formed on the outer peripheries of a pair of fixed drums concentrically provided to pinch both faces of the rotary drum. The unmachined work is stored in the receiving groove of the rotary drum at the carrying-in position through the passing grooves of the fixed drums, and the machined work is carried out from the receiving groove of the rotary drum at the carrying-out position.
