COMMUNICATION BAND ALLOCATION METHOD AND ALLOCATION CONTROLLER FOR SATELLITE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently allocate communication bands according to the traffic. SOLUTION: A band controller 508 controls the communication bands among a satellite 502, user terminals 506 and a gateway 504 and decides the up link allocation from the up link efficiency of the terminals 506 and gateway 504 and an input parameter including traffic ratios between the terminals 506 and gateway 504. The down link allocation is decided from the traffics presented to the terminals 506 and gateway 504 which are decided by the up link allocation. Thus, the band width and wait time is much relieved and the communication capacity and throughput are improved.
