This invention relates to newly identified ovarian or ovarian cancer related polynucleotides and the polypeptides encoded by these polynucleotides herein collectively known as "ovarian cancer antigens", and the use of such ovarian antigens for detecting disorders of the reproductive system, particularly th e presence of ovarian cancer and ovarian cancer metastases. This invention relates to ovarian cancer antigens as well as vectors, host cells, antibodie s directed to ovarian cancer antigens and the recombinant methods and syntheti c methods for producing the same. Also provided are diagnostic methods for detecting, treating, preventing and/or prognosing disorders related to the ovary, including ovarian cancer, and therapeutic methods for treating such disorders. The invention further relates to screening methods for identifyin g agonists and antagonists of ovarian cancer antigens of the invention. The present invention further relates to inhibiting the production and function of the polypeptides of the present invention.
