PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for storing raw meats or fresh fishes, which has excellent safety and by which the quality of the raw meats or fresh fishes can stably be maintained without deteriorating the freshness and color of the raw meats or fresh fishes, even when the raw meats or fresh fishes are stored for a long period, and to provide a method for producing a storage container. SOLUTION: This method for storing raw meats or fresh fishes in a container, is characterized in that the standard oxidation-reduction potential of water adhered to the surface of the raw meats or fresh fishes is -10 to -1000 mV, when a standard hydrogen electrode is used as a standard electrode.
