PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool capable of easily decreasing at a low cost the vibration of a rotary tool resulting from unbalance. SOLUTION: A cylindrical grinder 1 is composed of a grinding wheel 50, a wheel table 20 for moving the wheel 50 in the direction of an arrow A, and measuring device (42, 43, etc.), to measure the position of the table 20. The grinding wheel is rotated, and the vibration of the wheel table 20 resulting from unbalance of the grinding wheel 50 is measured by the measuring device. At processing, motions in opposite phase to the vibration are given to the wheel table 20 so that the vibrations are decreased.
