<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a webbing winding device with a simple structure capable of changing a force limiter load according to an occupant's inertia energy. SOLUTION: In this webbing winding device, a spool 14 is connected to a lock base 16 through a torsion bar 20 and to a gear 22 through a brake spring 26, and those generally integrally rotate. The lock base 16 is connected to a first lock means, while the gear 22 is connected to a second lock means. In the case of a small vehicle collision energy, the rotation of the lock base 16 is blocked, so that a torsion load of the torsion bar 20 acts as the force limiter load. In the case of a large collision energy, the rotation of the gear 22 is also blocked, so that brake force of the brake spring 26 is added to the force limiter load. Thus, the force limiter load can be changed with the simple structure.</p> |
