PROTECTIVE CHEST FOR AUTOMATIC TELLER MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety by providing a protective chest for an automatic teller machine which is lightweight and ensures that objects stored therein such as cash are protected, and strength against physical or combustive destruction is satisfied. SOLUTION: This protective chest 20 for the automatic teller machine 10 includes a protective wall 21 composed of polymer formed out of a heat-resistant member (disposed on external surface) coating at least a side wall of a cash storage 11 and a ceiling of the automatic teller machine and a steel plate (disposed on internal surface), and a protective door 23 coating a connection door 13 to the inside of the automatic teller machine, which is formed out of the same material as the protective wall. The end of the protective wall 23 has a barrier structure formed by bending the steel plate facing the automatic teller machine 10 to form steps, and the protective door 23 of the protective chest 20 is formed so as to open in the opposite direction to that of the door 13 of the automatic teller machine 10. The protective chest 20 is fixed to the steel plate 40 on which the automatic teller machine 10 is mounted.
