PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for modeling network data that models a configuration of a composite network by which a user can load and retrieve information as to the network configuration in a convenient way. SOLUTION: The method modeling a composite network includes a step where an entity provided with the network is identified, a step where one entity or more is classified into a node or an edge, and a step where a set of layers having the node or edge is defined, the layer has at least one node, an optional node or edge is a member of one layer only, the edge included in an optional layer is to be terminated by just two nodes included similarly in the layer.
